Regular Council Meetings are held: Fourth Tuesday of each month at City Hall
It is required for you to register with Charleston County
thirty days prior to an election in order to vote. You will
need to bring proof of residency when you apply. Please

Another option is for you to register at the Department of
Motor Vehicles (DMV) but I would call in advance: (843) 884-9760.
Department of Motor Vehicles
If you are a new resident in South Carolina, you must apply
for a South Carolina drivers license. If you own any vehicles
they must also be registered in SC.
If you have a valid drivers license issued by the state from
which you moved, you can use it for 90 days, after which time
you must surrender it and obtain a South Carolina driver
license. You have 45 days to transfer your out of state
vehicle registration to South Carolina.

Department of Motor Vehicles to Isle of Palms is located
off of the Isle of Palms Connector at:

If you are traveling from Isle of Palms, take the Isle of
Palms Connector/SC-517/Clyde Moultrie Dangerfield Highway.
At the stop light before Highway 17 North, you will take a
right onto Iron Bridge Road. The DMV is located in the
building to your left. You will have to go through security
to access the building. (The DMV is located across the
street & adjacent from the Waves store & Mosaic Restaurant.)

Books have been donated by Isle of Palms residents as well
as visitors. The Recreation Center is located on 28th Avenue.
