The Isle of Palms was named the safest city in South Carolina for the third consecutive year, according to a study. A website dedicated to safety in America, released their 6th annual Safest Cities report, including the Palmetto State’s top 20 safest cities.
Isle of Palms won first place with an astounding two total violent crimes reported in 2018. Port Royal in Beaufort County came in second place, jumping from 19 spots from their previous ranking. Other Lowcountry cities that made the list include Mount Pleasant (3rd), Bluffton (4th), Hanahan (7th), Goose Creek (15th), Charleston (16th) and Surfside Beach (20th). (Credit abcnews4)
